Terms of Service

Welcome to CTI Academy. These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between you and CTI Academy Bilgisayar Programlama Faaliyetleri Limited Sirketi ("CTI Academy", "we", "us" or "our"). They govern your use of our website located at https://ctiacademy.io (the "Site") and our related services, including our learning paths, lessons, quizzes, missions, simulators, lab environments, the LeakLens and NullBase training environments, and certificates (collectively, the "Services"). By accessing or using our Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our Services.

You must be at least 16 years old to create an account. If you are under 18, you may only purchase a subscription with the consent of a parent or legal guardian. To access certain features of our Services, you may be required to create an account. When you create an account, you must: • Provide accurate, current, and complete information • Maintain and promptly update your account information • Maintain the security of your account credentials • Accept all risks of unauthorized access to your account • Notify us immediately if you discover any security breach You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms. Usernames: Your username is public: it appears on your profile, on leaderboards and in the address of your profile page. It must not impersonate another person, CTI Academy or our staff, and must not be offensive or misleading. We may change a username that breaks this rule. You can change your username in Settings once every 30 days. A username you give up, or one that belonged to a deleted account, stays reserved for 30 days and may then be taken by someone else.

Plans: We offer a free plan and paid subscriptions: Premium and Student, each billed monthly or yearly. Enterprise plans for teams are sold under a separate written agreement. What each plan includes and its current price are shown on our pricing page and again at checkout before you pay. Prices are in euros and exclude tax; any applicable tax is calculated at checkout from your billing country. Our Reseller: Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Polar Software, Inc. ("Polar"). Polar is the Merchant of Record for all Premium and Student purchases made on our website. Polar runs the checkout, processes your payment, collects applicable sales tax or VAT, issues your invoice and handles billing inquiries and refunds for these orders. Your purchase is also subject to Polar's Buyer Terms. Enterprise agreements are invoiced by CTI Academy directly. Subscriptions bought through our previous payment provider, before we moved our checkout to Polar, do not renew and are not charged again; they stay active until the end of the period already paid for. Payment: You agree to pay all fees for the plan you select. By providing payment information, you represent that you are authorized to use the payment method. Automatic Renewal: Premium and Student subscriptions bought through Polar renew automatically at the end of each billing period until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from the subscription section of your account or by emailing [email protected]. Cancelling stops the next renewal, and your premium access continues until the end of the period you have already paid for. Student Pricing: The Student plan is available to students who verify an email address at a partner university. Price Changes: We may change our prices. Price changes will be communicated in advance and will apply from your next billing period. Refunds: Refunds are covered by our Refund Policy.

Our Content: All content on our Site, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, images, audio clips, video clips, data compilations, and software, is the property of CTI Academy or its content suppliers and is protected by intellectual property laws. License to Use: Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use our Services for your personal, non-commercial educational purposes. Restrictions: You may not: • Copy, modify, or distribute our content without authorization • Use our content for commercial purposes • Remove any copyright or proprietary notices • Attempt to reverse engineer any software or technology • Share your account credentials or allow others to access your account

When using our Services, you agree not to: • Violate any applicable laws or regulations • Infringe on the rights of others • Submit false or misleading information • Upload or transmit viruses or malicious code • Interfere with the proper functioning of our Services • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems • Use the techniques, tools or lab access you learn about on our platform against any system you are not authorized to test • Harass, abuse, or harm other users • Use automated systems to access our Services without permission • Engage in any activity that could damage our reputation We reserve the right to investigate and take appropriate action against anyone who violates these Terms, including removing content and terminating accounts.

Learning Content: Our learning paths, lessons, missions and labs are designed for educational purposes related to cybersecurity and threat intelligence. The information provided is for learning purposes and should be used responsibly, ethically and within the law. Certificates: When you complete a learning path, you may receive a certificate of completion. These certificates are issued by CTI Academy and represent completion of that learning path's material. Certificates are part of your account: if you delete your account, they are deleted with it and can no longer be opened or verified. Training Environments: LeakLens is a simulated investigation lab built on fully synthetic breach data. NullBase is a training forum: its scenarios, personas and datasets are synthetic, and it does not contain real breach data or real criminal forum content. Posts you write in NullBase are visible to other members, and you are responsible for what you post. Disclaimer: While we strive to provide accurate and up-to-date information, the cybersecurity field evolves rapidly. You should verify information independently and use your judgment when applying what you learn.

Our platform includes AI-powered features for challenges, analysis, and learning. By using these features, you acknowledge that: • AI-generated content may not always be accurate or complete • You are responsible for verifying AI outputs before acting on them • We may use your interactions with AI features to improve our Services • AI features are subject to usage limits based on your subscription plan

Our Services may integrate with or link to third-party services. We are not responsible for the content, privacy policies, or practices of third-party services. Your use of third-party services is at your own risk and subject to their terms of service.

OUR SERVICES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. We do not warrant that: • Our Services will be uninterrupted or error-free • Defects will be corrected • Our Services are free of viruses or harmful components • The results of using our Services will meet your expectations

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, CTI ACADEMY SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES. IN NO EVENT SHALL OUR TOTAL LIABILITY EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless CTI Academy and its officers, directors, employees, agents, and affiliates from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses, including reasonable attorneys' fees, arising out of or in any way connected with your access to or use of our Services or your violation of these Terms.

We may terminate or suspend your access to our Services at any time, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including if you breach these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use our Services will immediately cease. You may delete your account at any time from Settings, under Security, Delete account, or by emailing [email protected]. Deletion takes effect immediately and cannot be undone: your progress, points, badges and certificates are deleted and cannot be restored. Deleting your account stops any subscription from renewing, but does not by itself entitle you to a refund for the time left; if you are eligible for a refund under our Refund Policy, request it before deleting your account. What we keep after a deletion is described in our Privacy Policy.

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Turkey, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved in the courts of Balikesir, Turkey.

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or through our Services. Your continued use of our Services after any changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
